I personally have a license to Webstorm, but recently found myself using VSCode more often. Delete line: From SHIFT+CMD+K to CMD+Del. WebStorm is instant, and it's debugging experience is way better. In Webstorm same thing is typed as any: It's just one example of many issues like that. Some people prefer to use Vim, JetBrains, etc. I think(but not really sure) that you can install the web plugins in Intellij Community, essentially turning it into Webstorm, otherwise, you have to pay for Webstorm. But after trying VSCode, I couldn't get over its clean UI, and how much more incredibly responsive it was compared to Webstorm. VS Code does have some hiccups periodically which require restarting the IDE like host extension server VSCode. Actually, the goland description for it's features says it includes features for javascript, so I guess that's a plus. I often found that I typed too fast for VSCode's auto-completion to trigger. I know it’s not free but Webstorm is worth the investment. Become a Neovim user now, then stay for life.
